Welcome to FireCompliance.ca, a fire safety compliance management platform operated by Digital Automations AI (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully.
1. Agreement to Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using FireCompliance.ca (the “Platform” or “Service”), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by:

FireCompliance.ca provides a fire safety compliance management platform designed to help British Columbia municipalities and property owners comply with the BC Fire Safety Act (SBC 2024). Our services include:
- Property registration and management for commercial and multi-family residential buildings
- Fire safety self-assessment submission and tracking tools
- Inspection scheduling, tracking, and record-keeping
- Document management and secure storage
- Automated reminder services via phone, SMS, and email
- Reporting and analytics tools for municipal fire departments
- Risk-based compliance monitoring per Section 20 of the BC Fire Safety Act
- AI-powered customer service and support
3. User Accounts
3.1 Account Creation
To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information as necessary.
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account at [email protected].
3.3 Account Types
The Service provides different account types with varying permissions:
- Superuser: Platform administrators with full system access
- Fire Department Administrator: Municipal fire department administrators with full access to their jurisdiction data
- Regional Fire Administrator: Administrators with access to multiple jurisdictions
- Fire Inspector: Municipal inspectors with access to assigned jurisdiction properties
- Building Owner: Property owners with access to their registered properties
- OFC Reporter: Office of the Fire Commissioner reporting access
4. User Responsibilities
4.1 Accurate Information
You agree to provide truthful, accurate, and complete information when using the Service, including but not limited to property registrations, self-assessments, and contact information.
4.2 Compliance with Laws
You agree to comply with all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations, including the BC Fire Safety Act and BC Fire Code.
4.3 Proper Use
You agree to use the Service only for its intended purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
4.4 Account Responsibility
You are responsible for all activities conducted through your account and for ensuring that anyone who uses your account complies with these Terms.
5. Prohibited Uses
You agree NOT to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Access accounts or data belonging to others without authorization
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
- Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Service without permission
- Use the Service to send unsolicited communications
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code from the Service
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without authorization
- Circumvent any access controls or security measures
6. Self-Assessment Submissions
IMPORTANT: Self-assessments are compliance management tools only. They do NOT replace professional fire safety inspections by qualified inspectors.
6.1 Accuracy Responsibility
Property owners who submit fire safety self-assessments are solely responsible for the accuracy of all information provided. Self-assessments reflect the property owner’s own evaluation of their fire safety systems and conditions.
6.2 No Substitute for Inspection
Self-assessments submitted through the Service do NOT replace professional fire safety inspections by qualified inspectors. They are compliance management tools only.
6.3 Verification
Municipal fire departments may independently verify any information submitted through the Service and may conduct physical inspections regardless of self-assessment submissions.
6.4 Consequences of False Information
Providing false or misleading information through self-assessments may result in:
- Account suspension or termination
- Regulatory penalties from fire authorities
- Civil liability for damages
- Criminal charges for fraud or misrepresentation
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Our Content
The Service, including its design, features, functionality, text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by Digital Automations AI and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The FireCompliance name, logo, and all related marks are trademarks of Digital Automations AI.
7.2 Your Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service. By submitting content, you grant Digital Automations AI a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, process, and display that content as necessary to provide the Service.
7.3 Feedback
Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about the Service may be used by us without any obligation to you.
8. Privacy and Data
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.
We comply with:
- Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA)
- British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA)
- Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPPA) where applicable
9. Third-Party Services

Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. Digital Automations AI is not responsible for the practices of third parties.
10. Service Availability
10.1 No Guarantee
We strive to maintain reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
10.2 Modifications
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.
10.3 Support
We provide customer support through multiple channels including AI-powered chat, phone, email, and our contact form. Support availability and response times may vary.
11. Fees and Payment
11.1 Municipal Clients
Municipalities using the Service are subject to fees as outlined in their Service Agreement with Digital Automations AI. Fees may include base subscription fees, per-property fees, and add-on service fees.
11.2 Building Owners
Building owners may access certain features at no cost through their municipality’s subscription. Premium features may require additional payment.
11.3 Payment Terms
All fees are due as specified in the applicable agreement or invoice. Late payments may result in service suspension or termination.
11.4 Refunds
Refund policies are specified in individual Service Agreements. Generally, subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
DIGITAL AUTOMATIONS AI, FIRECOMPLIANCE.CA, AND THEIR OWNERS, OPERATORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM:
- Your use of or inability to use the Service
- Reliance on information provided through the Service
- Self-assessment data submitted by property owners
- Actions or inactions of any user
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
- Any third-party conduct on the Service
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED CANADIAN DOLLARS ($100 CAD).

13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Digital Automations AI, FireCompliance.ca, and their officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Any content you submit to the Service
- Your infringement of any third-party rights
- Any false, inaccurate, or misleading information you provide
14. Termination
14.1 By You
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Termination does not relieve you of any obligations incurred prior to termination.
14.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Non-payment of fees
- Fraudulent or illegal activity
- Extended inactivity
- Any other reason at our reasonable discretion
14.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Service ceases immediately
- We may delete your account and associated data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect
15. Dispute Resolution
15.1 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
15.2 Informal Resolution
Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to first contact us at [email protected] to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
15.3 Arbitration
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service that cannot be resolved informally shall be resolved through binding arbitration in British Columbia, in accordance with the Arbitration Act (British Columbia).
15.4 Class Action Waiver
You agree that any dispute resolution will be conducted on an individual basis and not as a class action, collective action, or representative proceeding.
15.5 Jurisdiction
For any disputes not subject to arbitration, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia, Canada.
16. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:
- Posting the updated Terms on the Service
- Updating the “Last Updated” date
- Sending an email notification for significant changes
Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service.
17. General Provisions
17.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Liability Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and Digital Automations AI regarding your use of FireCompliance.ca.
17.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
17.3 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
17.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
17.5 Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, acts of government, or internet outages.
